[95] 净土法门有没有口传心授之秘？
[95] [Does The] Pure Land Dharma Door Have Secrets That [Are] Orally Transmitted [And] Mentally Taught [Or] Not?
◎ 念佛一法，是按经典所说而修的，不是有秘密的，绝无口传心授的道理。若有口传心授之秘，便是魔外，不是佛子矣。
◎ [Summary 1]: [As] mindfulness [of] Buddha, [this] one Dharma [Door], is according to [the] sūtrās, [with] that spoken then cultivated, [it does] not have secrets, [and is] absolutely without orally transmitted [and] mentally taught principles. If [there] are secrets that [are] orally transmitted [and] mentally taught, [they] then are [from] demons [and] external [paths], not [the] Buddha’s disciples.
◎ 竭诚尽敬，为学佛之无上秘法，当为一切人说之。不致力于此法，即是舍本逐末。
◎ [Summary 2]: [Having] wholehearted sincerity [and] utmost reverence, [this] is [for those] learning Buddhism, that unsurpassable ‘secret’ method, [which] should [be] for all persons spoken then. Not devoting efforts to this method, thus is [to] abandon [the] roots [to] pursue [the] tips.
所言预锡珍秘，不知净土法门，绝无所秘。
Those [who] say [they have], beforehand [been] bestowed precious secrets, [do] not know [that the] Pure Land Dharma Door, [is] absolutely without that secretive.
若有口传心授之秘，（竭诚尽敬，为学佛之无上秘法，当为一切人说之。不致力于此法，即是舍本逐末。）便是魔外，不是佛子矣。
If [there] are secrets that [are] orally transmitted [and] mentally taught, ([Having] wholehearted sincerity [and] utmost reverence, [this] is [for those] learning Buddhism, that unsurpassable ‘secret’ method, [which] should [be] for all persons spoken then. Not devoting efforts to this method, thus is [to] abandon [the] roots [to] pursue [the] tips.) [they] then are [from] demons [and] external [paths], not [the] Buddha’s disciples.
密宗，则有秘传，然不若净土之为直捷稳当也。
[The] Esoteric Tradition, then has secret transmissions. However, [they are] not as good as those [teachings of the] Pure Land [Dharma Door, which] are direct [and] reliable.
汝勿以现身成佛等大话自期，则必能仗佛慈力，带业往生。
You [must] not [be] with, [in this] present life accomplishing Buddhahood, [this] kind [of] boastful words [as] personal expectation. Then [will you] definitely [be] able [to] rely on [the] Buddha’s compassionate power, [to] bring karmas [to be] reborn.
若欲现身成佛，或恐佛未能成，往生亦不可得，则两头成空，为可虑也。
If desiring [to, in this] present life accomplish Buddhahood, perhaps fearing [that with] Buddhahood [not] yet able [to be] accomplished, rebirth [in Pure Land] also cannot [be] attained. Then [with] both ends accomplishing nothing, [this] can be worrisome.

Furthermore, [as] mindfulness [of] Buddha, [this] one Dharma [Door], is according to [the] sūtrās, [with] that spoken then cultivated, [it does] not have secrets, [and is] absolutely without orally transmitted [and] mentally taught principles, how can [there be] risks then coming?
