[92] 为什么说信愿念佛法门是药王中之药王？
[92] Why Say [With] Faith [And] Aspiration Reciting [Āmítuó]fó[’s Name’s] Dharma Door Is [The] Medicine King Within Medicine Kings?
◎ 信愿念佛求生西方，名为阿伽陀药，万病总治，乃药王中之药王也。
◎ [Summary]: [With] Faith [and] Aspiration reciting [Āmítuó]fó[’s name (阿弥陀佛) to] seek birth [in his] Western [Pure Land Of Ultimate Bliss (极乐世界), is] named as [the] Āgada medicine, [with] ten thousand sicknesses, totally curing [them, it is] thus [the] Medicine King within Medicine Kings.
大觉世尊，名大医王。普治众生身心等病。
[The] Great Awakened World-Honoured [One, is] named [as the] Great Healing King. [He] universally cures sentient beings’ physical [and] mental kinds [of] sicknesses.
所用之药，其数无量。戒定慧三，摄尽无遗。以故此三，名为药王。
Of [his] those used medicines, their number [is] immeasurable. [With] precepts, concentration [and] wisdom, [these] three, [they] gather [them] completely without [that] remaining. Therefore, these three, [are] named as [the] Medicine King.
若能服之，即凡成圣。然药虽美妙，修合实难。
If able [to] take it, then [will] ordinary [beings] become noble [beings]. However, [with this] medicine although wonderful, cultivating [it] together [is] truly difficult.
而信愿念佛求生西方，名为阿伽陀药，万病总治，下手易而成功高，用力少而得效速。
Yet, [with] Faith [and] Aspiration reciting [Āmítuó]fó[’s name (阿弥陀佛) to] seek birth [in his] Western [Pure Land Of Ultimate Bliss (极乐世界), is] named as [the] Āgada medicine, [with] ten thousand sicknesses, totally curing [them, with] starting easy, yet [with] success high, [with] using [of] efforts little, yet attaining results quickly.
上中下三根，即生皆出苦轮。
[Of those with the] high, middle [and] low, [these] three roots, immediately [with] birth [there, they will] all exit suffering’s cycle.
戒定慧三法，当念悉得具足。
[Of] precepts, concentration [and] wisdom, [these] three Dharma [teachings], when reciting, [they will] all attain completion.
是知信愿念佛一法，乃药王中之药王也。
[With] this, know [that with] Faith [and] Aspiration reciting [Āmítuó]fó[’s name, this] one Dharma [teaching, it is] thus [the] Medicine King within Medicine Kings.
