[9] Ninth Month: Double Yáng [Festival’s] Ninth Day…
重阳九日景偏赊，
自采茱萸且泛茶。
[On] Double Yáng [Festival’s] ninth day, [as the] scenery leans [to its] end, personally picking cornus officinalis, moreover floating [to make] tea.
红锦妆成千树叶，
黄金开尽一篱华。
[With] red brocades adorning [to] accomplish [a] thousand trees’ leaves, [and] yellow-gold [chrysanthemums] blossoming completely [as] each hedge’s flowers.
每登山顶瞻乡国，
却上楼头望故家。
[With] each ascending mountaintops [to] look at [their] hometowns, while going up towers’ tops [to] look from afar [at our] old home [i.e. Pure Land].
想见七珍池沼内，
枝枝菡萏大如车。
Contemplating [to] see [the] seven treasures’ ponds within, [with] limb [after] limb [of] lotuses large as chariot [wheels].
