[118] 哪些人是净土法门所摄之机？
[118] Which People Are Of Those Capacities Gathered [By The] Pure Land Dharma Door?
◎ 上中下三根皆为净土法门所摄之机。
◎ [Summary]: [Those of the] high, middle [and] low, [these] three roots, are all those capacities gathered [by the] Pure Land Dharma Door.
须知无量法门，皆须自力断惑证真，方出生死。
[It] should [be] known [that] immeasurable Dharma Doors, all need self-power [to] sever confusions [and] realise [the] true, [to] then [be able to] exit [the cycle of] birth [and] death.
求其摄生普遍，利济无方，上中下三根同修，初中后始本不二，不断烦惑，不历异生，即得了生脱死，超凡入圣者，唯净土法门为然也。
Seeking that gathering [of] beings universally, benefitting [and] aiding [is] without [a] method. [Those of the] high, middle [and] low, [these] three roots together cultivating, [in the] beginning, middle [and] end, [from the] beginning [to the] end [are] not two. Not severing afflictions [and] confusions, not passing through [a] different life, immediately attaining complete liberation [from the cycle of] birth [and] death, [to] transcend [the] ordinary [and] enter [the] noble, only [the] Pure Land Dharma Door is thus.
以故上根如文殊、普贤之俦，下根如五逆十恶之辈，皆为净土法门所摄之机。
Therefore, those [with] companions of high roots like Mañjuśrī [and] Universal Virtue [Bodhisattva, and] grades of low roots like those [with the] Five Heinous [Transgressions and] Ten Evil [Karmas], are all those capacities gathered [by the] Pure Land Dharma Door.
以其至简至易，至顿至圆，故能如大地之普载万象，大海之普纳众流也。
With it utmost concise [and] utmost easy, utmost sudden [and] utmost complete, thus able [to be] like [the] great earth that universally carries [the] ten thousand phenomena, [and the] great ocean that universally receives all streams.
