[477] 为什么有病及遇危险灾难向鬼神祈祷即为邪见?
[477] Why Having Sicknesses And Meeting Dangerous Disasters, Towards Gods [And] Ghosts Praying, Then Is [An] Evil View?
◎ 人生世间,凡有境缘,多由宿业。既有病苦,念佛修善,忏悔宿业,业消则病愈。向鬼神祈祷,即为邪见,即为违背佛教,不可不知。
◎ [Summary]: [Of] humans born [in this] world, all have circumstances’ conditions, mostly due [to] past karmas. Already having sickness’ suffering, recite [Āmítuó]fó[‘s name (阿弥陀佛)] [and] cultivate good, [to] repent [for] past [evil] karmas. [With evil] karmas eliminated, then [will the] sickness heal. Towards ghosts [and] gods praying, [this] then is [an] evil view, then is going against [the] Buddha’s teachings. [This] must not [be] not known.
世人有病,及有危险灾难等,不知念佛修善,妄欲祈求鬼神,遂致杀害生命,业上加业,实为可怜。
[Of the] world’s people [who] have sicknesses, and have dangerous disasters [and] others, [those who do] not know [how to] recite [Āmítuó]fó[‘s name (阿弥陀佛) and] cultivate good, [who] deludedly desire [to] pray [and] appeal [to] ghosts [and] gods, thereupon leading [to] killing lives, [on evil] karmas above adding [evil] karmas, truly are pitiable.
人生世间,凡有境缘,多由宿业。既有病苦,念佛修善,忏悔宿业,业消则病愈,彼鬼神自己尚在业海之中,何能令人消业?
[Of] humans born [in this] world, all have circumstances’ conditions, mostly due [to] past karmas. 即有大威力之正神,其威力若比佛菩萨之威力,直同萤火之比日光。
Even if [there] is great mighty power of [a] righteous god, his mighty power, if compared [with the] mighty power of [a] Buddha [or] Bodhisattva, [it is] frankly [the] same [as a] firefly’s light compared [with the] sun’s light.
佛弟子不向佛菩萨祈祷,向鬼神祈祷,即为邪见,即为违背佛教,不可不知。
[If as the] Buddha’s disciples, not towards [the] Buddhas [and] Bodhisattvas praying, [yet] towards ghosts [and] gods praying, [this] then is [an] evil view, then is going against [the] Buddha’s teachings. [This] must not [be] not known.
