[286] 临终所见之佛是什么佛？
[286] What Is [The] Buddha That [Is] Seen [When] Approaching [Life’s] End?
◎ 临终见佛，乃自心所感之佛，不得只归于自心，而谓无佛来迎之事。
◎ [Summary]: [When] approaching [life’s] end, seeing [the] Buddha, [this] thus [is] one’s mind’s that connected Buddha. [There] must not [be thinking that this] only belongs to one’s mind, then saying [it is] without [the] matter of [the] Buddha coming [to] welcome.
问，有云见佛者，乃心佛，非西方佛。若然，则往生时，心佛现前乎，抑弥陀佛来接耶？
Question: [There] are those saying [that the] seen Buddha, [is] thus [the] mind’s Buddha, not [the] Western [Pure Land Of Ultimate Bliss’ (极乐世界)] Buddha. If thus, then when [being] reborn, [with the] mind’s Buddha manifesting before [one, does this] hinder [Ā]mítuófó (阿弥陀佛) [who is] coming [to] receive?
答，临终见佛，乃自心所感之佛，不得只归于自心，而谓无佛来迎之事。
Answer: [When] approaching [life’s] end, [the] seen Buddha, [is] thus one’s mind’s that connected Buddha. [There] must not [be thinking that this] only belongs to one’s mind, then saying [it is] without [the] matter of [the] Buddha coming [to] welcome.
