All Buddhas, Because Of Samādhi From Mindfulness Of Buddha’s Power, Attained All-Knowing Wisdom Why Not Renounce The Difficult, To Rely On The Easy Practice Path?

Relying on [the] Sūtra [On] Samādhi [From] Contemplation [Of] Buddha… [Śākyamuni] Buddha told Ānanda, ‘This Samādhi [From] Contemplation [Of] Buddha, is that medicine [of] all sentient beings [who have] committed transgressions, that protector [of those who have] broken precepts, that guide [of those who have] lost [the] path, that eye [of those who are] blind, that wisdom [of those who are] ignorant, that lamp [of those in] darkness, [that] great, bold [and] powerful general within afflictions’ thieves, that all Buddha World-Honoured [Ones] play [with, the] Śūraṅgama, [and] all kinds [of] Great Samādhis’ first born place.’

[The] Buddha told Ānanda, ‘You [should] now well uphold [and be] careful not [to] forget [and] lose [it, as the] past, future [and] present three periods’ all Buddhas, all speak thus, [on the] Samādhi [From] Mindfulness [Of] Buddha.

I, with [the] ten directions’ all Buddhas and [this] Auspicious Kalpa’s thousand Buddhas, from first giving rise [to the Bodhi] Mind [菩提心], all because [of the] Samādhi [From] Mindfulness [Of] Buddha’s power thus, attained all-[knowing] wisdom [i.e. omniscience].’

Also, like [in the] Sūtra [On] That Maudgalyāyana Asked, [the] Buddha told Maudgalyāyana, ‘For example, like [the] ten thousand rivers [and] long streams, [which] have floating grass [and] wood, [with those] before not regarding [those] after, [and those] after not regarding [those] before, [with] all gathering [in the] great ocean, [those in the] world [are] likewise thus.

Although having power [and] honour, wealth [and] joy [with] ease, all cannot avoid birth, ageing, sickness [and] death. Only due [to] not believing [the] Buddha’s sūtras, [in] future lives as humans, [with] even more difficulties extreme, [they are] not able [to] attain birth [in a] thousand Buddhas’ lands.

Therefore, [do] I speak [of] Immeasurable Life Buddha’s [Āmítuófó: 阿弥陀佛] [Pure] Land, [which is] easy [to] go [and] easy [to] obtain, yet [there are] people [who are] not able [to] cultivate practice [to be] reborn [there], instead practising [the] ninety-five [or six] kinds [of] evil paths. I say these people, [are] named [as] people without eyes, [and] named [as] people without ears [i.e. spiritually blind and deaf with physical eyes and ears].’

[With the] sūtras’ teachings already thus, why not renounce [the] difficult, [to] rely on [the] Easy Practice Path?
