我说
[10] Self’s Instructions
物之所在,不可以无我,无我则逐物矣;
Where those things exist, [there] cannot [be] without self. Without self then chasing [after] things.
理之所在,不可以有我,有我则蔽理矣。
Where those principles exist, [there] cannot [be] with self. With self then obscuring principles.
孔子毋我,菩萨无我相,能至于此,则与虚空等矣,岂复有净浊之辨哉?
Kǒngzǐ [i.e. Confucius] did not have self, [and] Bodhisattvas [are] without self’s form. Able [to have] reaching of this, then with empty space equal, how [can there] again have distinctions of [the] pure [and] defiled?
但恐不易到耳。
Only fearing [this is] not easy [to] reach [i.e. without the Pure Land path].
