皈依不变，即真皈依
[296] Taking Refuge Without Changing, Then [Is] True Taking [Of] Refuge
人之入道，各有时节因缘。
Of people entering [the] path, each has [his or her own] time, cause [and] conditions.
既因《文钞》而知佛法，从事修持，即是皈依。
Since [it is] because [of studying these] Collected Writings, then knowing [the] Buddha’s Dharma [teachings, and] undertaking practice, [this] then is taking refuge [in the Triple Gem (三宝)].
（观此《文钞菁华录》亦然。编者敬注）
(Seeing this Record [Of] Collected Writings’ Essence [is] likewise thus. [By the] compiler respectfully annotated.)
不必又复行皈依礼，方为皈依，不行皈依礼，不名皈依也。
Not needing [to] also again practise [the] ceremony [of] taking refuge, then as taking refuge, [or with] not practising [the] ceremony [of] taking refuge, not named [as] taking refuge.
但愿汝能依到底，不中变，即真皈依。
[I] only wish [that] you [are] able [to] take refuge to [the] end, not [in the] middle changing [this], [which] then [is] true taking [of] refuge.
