回向一切众生不失自利
[79] Dedication [To] All Sentient Beings [Does] Not Lose Personal Benefits
回向发愿心，谓以己念佛功德，回向法界一切众生，悉皆往生西方。若有此心，功德无量。
[The] mind [of] dedication [with] giving rise [of] Aspiration, [is] called [to be] with one’s mindfulness [of] Buddha’s meritorious virtues, dedicated [to the] Dharma Realm’s all sentient beings, [to] all [be] reborn [in the] Western [Pure Land Of Ultimate Bliss]. If having this mind, [the] meritorious virtues [are] immeasurable.
若只为己一人念，则心量狭小，功德亦狭小矣。
If only for oneself one person reciting, then [with the] mind’s capacity [being] narrow [and] small, [the] meritorious virtues [will be] likewise narrow [and] small.
譬如一灯，只一灯之明。若肯转燃，则百千万亿无量无数灯，其明盖不可喻矣，而本灯固无所损也。
For example, one lamp only [has the] brightness of one lamp. If willing [to in] turn light [others], then [can there be a] hundred, thousand, ten thousand, hundred million, immeasurable [and] innumerable lamps, [with] their brightness, because [of this, that] cannot [be] compared, yet [with the] original lamp certainly without that diminished.
世人不知此义，故止知自私自利，不愿人得其益。
[The] world’s people, not knowing this meaning, thus only know [about being] selfish [for their] personal benefits, not aspiring [to let other] people attain their benefits.
