正月：春王正月…
[1] First Month: [In] Spring King’s First Month…
春王正月是新年，
贺岁家家设酒筵。
[In] spring king’s first month is new year[‘s day, with] greetings [for the new] year, [and] every family setting up feasts.
万户笙歌行乐地，
满街华月上灯天。
[The] ten thousand households [with] music [and] songs walk happily [on the] earth, filling [the] streets, [as the] brilliant moon above [is the] lamp [in the] heavens.
目前景物难长好，
劫外风光自不迁。
[This] present scenery [is] difficult [to] long [be] good, [with the] scenes outside [of] disasters, [in Pure Land] naturally not changing.
安养故乡无蜡烛，
枝枝相照玉池莲。
[The Land Of] Nurturing Peace [is our] homeland without candles, [with] every branch illuminating one another, [and] treasure ponds’ lotuses [too].
