[15] Fifteenth [Essay On] Practices’ Dharma Door

[I (Have) Completely Read (The Great) Treasury (Of) Sūtras…]
予遍览藏经，都无阴府寄库之说。
I [have] completely read [the Great] Treasury [Of] Sūtras, [which are] all without speaking of sending [of] treasuries.
奉劝世人以寄库所费，请僧为西方之供，一心西方，则必得往生。
[I] respectfully encourage [the] world’s people, [to be] with that sending [of] treasuries abolished, [to] invite monastics, [for reaching the] Western [Pure Land], making offerings, wholeheartedly [aspiring for birth in the] Western [Pure Land], then definitely attaining rebirth [there].
若不为此，而为阴府寄库，则是志在阴府，死必入阴府矣。
If not for this, yet for [the] nether world [with] sending [of] treasuries, [this] then is [with] aspiration for [reaching the] nether world, [with] death definitely entering [the] nether world.
譬如有人，不为君子之行，以交结贤人君子，乃寄钱于司理院狱子处，待其下狱，则用钱免罪，岂不谬哉！
For example, [this is] like having [a] person, not doing [the] actions of [a] noble person, with associating [with] virtuous persons [and] noble persons, then sending money to [the] place [with the] law-enforcement official’s court’s jail’s guard, waiting [for] him [to] descend [to] hell, then using [the] money [to be] excused [from] punishment, how [is this] not [an] error?
