为临行速预办
[180] For [The] Point [Of] Departure [Have] Swift Advanced Preparation
生死大事，须当预办。若待临行方修，恐被业力所夺。
[For resolving the] great matter [of rebirth in the cycle of] birth [and] death, [there] must [be] advanced preparation. If waiting [until the] point [of] departure then cultivating, fearing that [perhaps, there will be those] by karmic power taken by force.
[Note: As death is always approaching, to be closer than ever, and can arrive suddenly at any moment, including now, there should be swift and steady preparation for it, with adequate learning and practice of the Dharma Door Of Mindfulness Of Buddha (念佛法门), so as to reach Pure Land (净土), to be liberated once and for all from rebirth. Otherwise, if unprepared, while there is strong karma ripening quickly when dying or after death, we will be swept away by karmic winds (业风) to be reborn elsewhere, that is still within the cycle of rebirth.]
