Amituofo hopes we will have deep Faith in him,
so that we will have sincere Aspiration to be with him,
so as to have diligent Practice of Nianfo
to reach his Pure Land.
Amituofo too has deep Faith in our Buddha-nature.
He has sincere Aspiration to be with us,
and continues ‘Practice’ of Nianzhongsheng/念众生*
to guide us to (and in) his Pure Land.
The truth is, while we need to nurture
the Three Provisions of Faith, Aspiration and Practice
to reach Amituofo’s Pure Land,
he has already long nurtured his version of them for us.
If so, may we all
not let ourselves, one another and Amituofo down,
and not let all other Buddhas down too,
for they all hope that we will reach Amituofo’s Pure Land.
