欢喜闻阿弥陀佛名得大利
With Joyful Hearing Of Āmítuófó‘s Name Attains Great Benefits
[释迦牟尼]佛告弥勒[菩萨]：
「其有得闻彼佛名号[阿弥陀佛]，
欢喜踊跃，乃至一念，
当知此人为得大利，
则是具足无上功德。」
[Śākyamuni] Buddha told Maitreya [Bodhisattva], ‘If there are those who attain hearing of that Buddha’s name [Āmítuófó], with joyful enthusiasm, and even with one thought, you should know that these persons will be attaining great benefits, who are then complete with unsurpassable meritorious virtues.’

欢喜偈
Verses On Joy
闻弥陀名，
真有喜心，
因有信心，
而有愿心。
When hearing Āmítuófó’s name, truly having the mind of joy, is due to having the mind of Faith, then having the mind of Aspiration.
以信愿行，
必生极乐，
得最大利，
具诸功德。
With Faith, Aspiration and Practice, be definitely born in the Pure Land Of Ultimate Bliss, to attain the greatest benefits, complete with all meritorious virtues.
