一朝二择一偈
一朝无常到，
方知梦里人，
万般带不去，
唯有业随身。

一朝弥陀到，
方醒梦里人，
念佛佛随身，
带业亦得生。
Two Alternative Verses For The Immediate
Immediately, [when] impermanence arrives,
then [is it] known [by the] person in [this] ‘dream’,
[that the] ten thousand [things] cannot [be] brought away,
only with [mixed] karma [carried] along with one.
~
Immediately, [when] Āmítuófó arrives,
then awakens [the] person in [this] ‘dream’,
[whom with] mindfulness [of] Buddha,
[the] Buddha [guides] one along,
bringing [negative] karma,
likewise attaining birth [in his Pure Land].
