生死偈
Verses On Life And Death

人生佛教，人死佛教，鬼生佛教，鬼死佛教，

Be it human life’s Buddhist teachings, or human death’s Buddhist teachings, ghostly life’s Buddhist teachings, or ghostly death’s Buddhist teachings,

天生佛教，天死佛教，生死一线，皆须佛教。

heavenly life’s Buddhist teachings, or heavenly death’s Buddhist teachings, with life and death separated by a fine line, all need the Buddha’s teachings.

有生必死，生尽即死，勿忘将死，勤修佛教。

Having birth there must be death, at life’s end immediately is death, not forgetting you will die, diligently cultivate the Buddha’s teachings.

六道偈
Verses On Six Paths

佛大悲者，教尽六道，一切众生，无不度者。

The Buddhas are those with great compassion, who teach the six paths completely, with all their sentient beings, without those not delivered.

所以必有，地狱佛教，饿鬼佛教，畜生佛教，

Therefore, there must be hell-beings’ Buddhist teachings, hungry ghosts’ Buddhist teachings, animals’ Buddhist teachings,

人间佛教，修罗佛教，天人佛教，皆是佛教。

human worlds’ Buddhist teachings, asuras’ Buddhist teachings, and heavenly beings’ Buddhist teachings, with all being the Buddhas’ teachings.

速成偈
Verses On Swift Accomplishment

若留人间，末法已入，难遇三宝，真佛法僧。

If remaining in this human world, with this Dharma-Ending Age already entered, are difficulties in meeting the Triple Gem, the true Buddha, Dharma and Saṃgha.

未见佛师，正法亦少，无圣僧友，难成佛道。

Yet to see a Buddha as one’s teacher, with the Right Dharma also lessening, and without the Noble Saṃgha as friends, it is difficult to accomplish the Buddha path.

欲速学佛，成佛度众，应生净土，见弥陀众。

If desiring to swiftly learn Buddhism, to accomplish Buddhahood and deliver sentient beings, there should be birth in the Pure Land, to see Āmítuófó and his assembly.
