《阿弥陀经》言约义丰，行简效速
[318] Amitā[bha] Sūtra’s Words [Are] Brief [With] Meanings Abundant, [With] Practice Simple [And] Results Fast
古人欲令举世咸修，故以《阿弥陀经》列为日课。
Ancient ones, desiring [to] enable all throughout the world [to] cultivate [the Pure Land Dharma Door, were] thus with [the] ‘Amitā[bha] Sūtra’ listed for daily chanting [practice].
以其言约而义丰，行简而效速。
With its words brief, yet [with] meanings abundant, [with] practice simple, yet [with] results fast.
宏法大士，注疏赞扬，自古及今，多不胜数。
Great ones, [for] propagation [of the] Dharma, [with] commentaries [and] subcommentaries praising [it], since ancient [times], reaching today, [they are] many [and] not equal [to that] counted.
于中求其至广大精微者，莫过于莲池之《疏钞》。
Of those within [it], seeking that utmost vast [and] great, refined [and] subtle, none surpass [that] of [the] ‘Collected Writings [On] Commentary [On The Sūtra In Which The Buddha Speaks Of Amitā(bha Buddha)]’《佛说阿弥陀经疏钞》of [Great Master] Liánchí.
极直捷要妙者，莫过于蕅益之《要解》。
[Of] that extremely straightforward, essential [and] wonderful, none surpass [that] of [the] ‘Essential Explanation [Of The Sūtra In Which The Buddha Speaks Of Amitā(bha Buddha)]’《佛说阿弥陀经要解》of [Great Master] Ǒuyì.
幽溪法师，握台宗谛观不二之印，著《略解》圆融中道之钞。
Dharma Master Yōuxī, holding [the Tiān]tái Tradition’s truths, [while] contemplating [the] seal of non-duality, wrote [the] ‘Collected Writings Of Brief Explanations [On The Sūtra In Which The Buddha Speaks Of Amitā(bha Buddha’s) Complete Middle Path’《佛说阿弥陀经略解圆中钞》that interpenetrate [with the] middle path.
理高深而初机可入，文畅达而久修咸钦。
[With] principles profound, yet beginners can enter, [with] text smooth, yet [with that] long cultivators all respect.
