坚定往生的信愿就是正念
Right Mindfulness Is Having Firm Faith And Aspiration For Rebirth In Pure Land
问：我们临终时侯，万一失去正念怎么办？
Question: When approaching the end of life, what if we lose our Right Mindfulness (正念)?
入川法师答：… 正念就是你不贪恋。对身见，对家庭眷属，对物质，没有贪恋。保持着往生西方极乐世界的心态。你有这种心态，其实这就是正念。
Dharma Master Rùchuān’s Answer: … Right Mindfulness is you not having greedy attachment. Towards the body, towards family members, towards material things, not having greedy attachment. Maintain the attitude of aspiring for rebirth in the Western Pure Land Of Ultimate Bliss. When you have this attitude, this actually is Right Mindfulness.
这叫在心，在缘，在决定 – 正念。这就叫分明念，你有了仰靠佛的往生信心了。平常就要靠倒佛。系心一处就是正念分明。坚定往生的信愿就是正念。
This is called dependence on the mind, condition and certainty – Right Mindfulness. This is called having distinct and clear mindfulness, with you having the mind of Faith to rely on the Buddha for rebirth. You should in ordinary times, rely to fall upon the Buddha. To fasten the mind to one place is to have Right Mindfulness that is distinct and clear. Having firm Faith and Aspiration for rebirth in Pure Land is Right Mindfulness.
信愿是感佛之机。… 如果你没有信愿的时候，你说我保持正念… 是不是能行呢？… 如果我们没有信愿，还有贪着身见，还有贪着家庭眷属，那家庭眷属不就是冤亲债主的组合体吗？… 对组合体那么贪恋，对真的你就没有信心的契入，这是很危险的一件事。所以坚定往生的信愿就是正念。你要在信愿上用功夫，就是你往生的正念。
Faith and Aspiration are the keys for connecting to the Buddha… If you do not have Faith and Aspiration, and speak of maintaining Right Mindfulness… can this be practised?… If we do not have Faith and Aspiration, and still have greedy attachment to the body, still having greedy attachment to family members, then will those family members (and others) not become our karmic creditors’ combined body?… Towards this combined body with so much greedy attachment, while towards your true self (e.g. Buddha-nature) not having the mind of Faith to agree upon and enter, this is a very dangerous matter. Therefore, having firm Faith and Aspiration for rebirth in Pure Land is Right Mindfulness. You must, on Faith and Aspiration exert effort, as they form your Pure Land rebirth’s Right Mindfulness.
