Verses On Difficulty And Easiness
In this Sahā World observing the purification precepts, being pure for one day, surpasses in the Pure Land Of Ultimate Bliss, doing good for one hundred years. Although having this principle, in this Sahā World, with evil much and good little, it is accordingly more difficult to cultivate. In one hundred years, are thirty-six thousand and five hundred so days [i.e. 365 days times 100 years], with the number of times of greater difficulty exactly the same as this. In reverse then speaking, in the Land Of Ultimate Bliss, with only good and without evil, it is accordingly more easy to cultivate. In one hundred years, are thirty-six thousand and five hundred days, with the number of times of greater easiness exactly the same as this. Therefore, our fundamental teacher, encouraged this Sahā World’s beings, to now do our best to cultivate, and also to be born in the Land Of Ultimate Bliss.
