Encouragement To Be Mindful Of Buddha
[Our] cast aside skeletons, looking back, [have] accumulated like mountains, [with] departures’ tears turned into [the] four oceans [that] overflow. [As in this] world, coming to an end is definite, [this] human life, [over in a] fingersnap, has what joy?
Becoming male [and] becoming female, passing thousands [of] times, carrying horns [and] wearing fur, experiencing [them in] ten thousand ways. [If] not to, [in] this life [be] born [in] Pure Land, [with] rebirth once wrong, when regretting, [it will be] difficult.
Great Master Yōután
