Clear Statement At ‘Foot Of Incense’ Studio
死生事大,
来日无多。
道业未成,
实深惭惧。
With death and birth as a matter great,
yet coming days are not many.
As the path’s practice is yet accomplished,
am truly and deeply ashamed with dread.
尊客相看,
午后炷香。
非敢轻疏,
幸垂监恕。
May honoured guests take a good look,
at this afternoon’s stick of incense.
Not daring to lightly neglect it,
trusting you to be so kind to inspect it, and to forgive me.
