今之提倡佛学，须注重于净土法门，及因果报应。
Now, for promoting Buddhist studies, there is need to emphasize upon the Pure Land Dharma Door, and teachings on the causes and effects of retribution.
并令入社之人，各各戒杀护生，各各善教儿女。
Also, enable people who enter [your Buddhist] society, of each and every one, to abstain from killing, and to protect lives, with each and every one teaching well their sons and daughters [too].
国之荒乱，由乏贤人，其源由家无善教而始。
The social disorder of the country, is due to lack of virtuous persons, with its root due to families without being taught well thus beginning.
而家庭之教，母教更为要紧，故教女比教子关系更大也。
And for family education, mothers’ education is even more urgent, thus with educating of daughters, compared in relation with educating of sons, even greater [in importance].
有贤女，则有贤妻贤母矣。
With virtuous daughters, thus are there virtuous wives and virtuous mothers.
人少有贤母，长有贤妻，欲不为贤人，不可得也。
Of people when young, having virtuous mothers, growing up to be virtuous wives, who wish not to be virtuous persons, this is not possible.
此正本清源图太平之良策也。
This is from the root source tidying and cleaning up, the good plan for seeking great peace [at home and in society].
愿阁下于提倡佛学时，谆谆以此告之，庶佛法世间法皆振兴也。
May you sir, when promoting Buddhist studies, tirelessly with this inform of others, so that the Buddha’s teachings on worldly teachings can all be revitalised.

Key Summary: Of course, fathers should ideally play equal roles as mothers. However, as most mothers play a stronger nurturing and educating role at home, with more virtuous mothers, who teach their daughters (and sons) to be virtuous, they will grow up to be virtuous wives and mothers, (husbands and fathers), in turn also teaching their daughters (and sons) to be virtuous. Through this virtuous cycle, families and society can become more virtuous.
