亡者正助行偈
Verses On Main And Supportive Practices For The Deceased
听闻阿弥陀经者，
若能直生西方去，
法会大众即生西，
不须信愿念佛去？
Of those listening to Āmítuójīng (Amitābha Sūtra), if they are able to directly be born in the Western Pure Land Of Ultimate Bliss, the Dharma assembly’s great assembly should immediately be born in the West already, without need to, with Faith and Aspiration, be mindful of Āmítuófó to go?
诵经为给予开示，
是劝信发愿助行，
还须以念佛助念，
是感应弥陀正行。
As reciting the sūtra is for giving guidance, it is a Supportive Practice to encourage Faith for giving rise to Aspiration, there still must be with reciting of Āmítuófó for supportive-chanting, which is to show the Main Practice for connecting to Āmítuófó for response.
