[129] An Enriching And Enlightening Pure Land Pilgrimage
It was an awesome, enriching and enlightening pilgrimage visiting the Pure Land Patriarchs’ monasteries and pagodas, with the living quarters of the Pure Land Tradition’s 13th Patriarch Pure Land Patriarch Great Master Yìnguāng (净土宗十三祖印光大师) too. It was so surreal, seeing and feeling the pure and peaceful energy (vibes) of his room, where he lived in total simplicity.
I was also very happy having vegan meals with spiritual friends all moving in the right direction towards Āmítuófó’s (阿弥陀佛) Pure Land (净土).
I am grateful and blessed that I could practise 3-steps 1-bow toward the Big Buddha (大佛), despite having a knee problem, which seemed to disappear during this trip. (This is possible as sincere mindfulness of Buddha can eliminate karmic obstacles: 念佛消业障.) It was like preparation for final departure to reach Āmítuófó’s Pure Land when we walked on the white path (白道) mindfully with wholehearted Niànfó (一心念佛).
After this pilgrimage, it was further reinforced in me that rebirth in Āmítuófó’s Pure Land is confirmed with our sincere Faith, Aspiration and Practice.
Thanks to Teacher Shi’an and Sister WY, for painstakingly arranging this pilgrimage, so that we can further understand and reinforce what was taught, by seeing what we did with our own eyes. I am indeed blessed and will cherish the memories.
