二报偈
Verses [On] Retribution [And] Reward
一心念佛者，
一持佛圣号，
一切重业者，
一定转轻报。
Those [with] wholehearted mindfulness [of] Buddha, once upholding [the] Buddha’s sacred name [i.e. Āmítuófó], [will have] all those heavier evil karmas, definitely transforming [to have] lighter retribution.
念佛消业障：
重业得轻报；
轻业则消尽，
亦可增福报。
Mindfulness [of] Buddha eliminates karmic obstacles: [with] heavier evil karmas getting lighter retribution; [and] lighter evil karmas then eliminated completely, [it] can also increase blessed rewards.
