With Mindfulness [Of Āmítuó]fó As Main [Practice And] Guānyīn [Púsà] As Supportive [Practice]
[As] Contemplator [Of The World’s] Sounds [Bodhisattva’s] sacred name [i.e. Guān(shì)yīn Púsà (观[世]音菩萨)], [is] thus nowadays’ great reliance [for eliminating disasters, there] should [be] encouraging [of] all people [to be] mindful [of her name].
If [there are] those cultivating pure karma, other than mindfulness [of the] Buddha’s [name] [i.e. Āmítuófó (阿弥陀佛)], [they can] also [be] mindful [of her name].
[Of] people yet [to] give rise [to] Aspiration [for birth in Pure Land], then enable [them to have] focused mindfulness [of her name, as they are] with that wish for receiving [the Bodhisattva] Mahāsattva’s [protective] cover, then [for] eliminating disasters only.
Waiting [for] their faithful minds [to have] already arisen, then again [encouraging] with mindfulness [of the] Buddha as [the] Main [Practice, and] mindfulness [of] Guānyīn [Púsà] as [a] Supportive [Practice].
However, [those with] mindfulness [of] Guānyīn [Púsà, to] seek birth [in the] Western [Pure Land Of Ultimate Bliss], likewise can fulfil [this] Aspiration.
