安乐偈
Verses [On] Peace [And] Bliss
选择安乐死，
即是自杀死。
以嗔破重戒，
何生安乐国？
Choosing euthanasia [to] die, is the same as [to] kill oneself. With hatred breaking [the] heaviest precept, how [can there be] birth [in the] Land [Of] Peace [And] Bliss?
欲入土为安，
即是执身坟。
以贪放不下，
何得真安乐？
Desiring [to] ‘enter [the] earth for peace’, is the same as attachment [to the] body [and] grave. With greed not letting go, how [can there be] attaining [of] true peace [and] bliss?
错认棺或瓮，
即是您大屋，
不舍成孤魂，
何时享安乐？
Wrongly thinking the coffin or urn is your ‘big house’, not renouncing it, becoming a lonely ghost, when will you enjoy peace and bliss?
以深信切愿，
安住佛号念。
当下得安乐，
往生更安乐。
With profound Faith [and] sincere Aspiration, peacefully abide [upon the] Buddha’s name. [In this] moment attaining peace [and] bliss, [be] reborn [in] even [greater] peace [and] bliss.
