长手偈
Verses [On The Buddha’s] Long Hand
众生靠自力，
已转无量劫。
今又入末法，
应仗他力觉。
Sentient beings depending [on] Self-power, [have been] reborn [for] immeasurable kalpas already. Now also entering [the] Dharma-Ending [Age, all] should rely [on] Other-power [to] awaken.
弥陀伸长手，
已过十大劫。
今又不理会，
生死如何解？
Āmítuófó’s extending [of his] long hand, [has] passed ten great kalpas already. Now again not paying attention [to him, from the cycle of] birth [and] death, how can [there be] liberation?
