Their bodies [will] enthusiastically leap [up their] vajra daises, following [the] Buddha [from] behind [in a] fingersnap’s moment. Practising [the] Great Vehicle [with] understanding [of the] supreme truth, immediately born [in the] seven treasures’ lotus pond within.

Amitā[bha] Buddha’s great loving-kindness, compassion, [and] Ten Powers’ majestic virtues [are] difficult [to] praise [and] comment [upon]. Reciting [his] name [with] one utterance, giving rise [to] one thought [of it], eighty koṭis’ kalpas [of] transgressions [are] all eradicated.

With this aiding [and] pulling out [sentient beings] without having end, thus named as Immeasurable Life. [In the] past, [when the] World-Honoured [One] resided [at] Gṛdhrakūṭa, with [the] great assembly, [he] spoke [of his] wonderful causes [and] conditions.

Depart [from] worries, afflictions and Jambudvīpa, [to] transcend [and] liberate [from] all suffering realms. [For his] pure [and] wonderful land, [that] is Ultimate Bliss’ world, cultivate [the] Three Blessings [and] give rise [to the] Bodhi Mind.

[For] those having this mindfulness, abiding [with] firm focus, thus speaking [of] Immeasurable Life Buddha’s contemplations. Such meritorious virtues cannot [be] spoken [of], [with] that unspeakable [with] wonderful bright light.

Immeasurably, purely [and] equally giving, [till the] Five Corruptions’ sentient beings all become Buddhas. Severing all their inverted thoughts, just like with water thrown [into the] ocean within.

[With] wetness’ nature mixed [and] merged, without [that] different, although having noble wisdom, difficult [to] differentiate. [With] everyone, all for Immeasurable Life [Buddha], prostrate [with] reverence, [and] worship immediately, [towards the] Western direction.

Northern [And] Southern Dynasties’ Liú Sòng [Dynasty’s] Emperor Wén

[Note: The Pure Land Patriarchs generally discourage contemplation in terms of visualisation due to the coarseness of our minds in this era, versus the refined nature of the Buddha and the attributes of his Pure Land, which makes the practice extremely difficult. Instead, they strongly encourage wholehearted mindfulness of the Buddha’s name, which will still lead to the same effects aspired for.]
