至心偈
至心念佛，
必得定心。
定心念佛，
未必至心。
Verse On Sincere Mind
[With] sincere mind mindful [of] Buddha,
[this] definitely attains [the] concentrated mind.
[With] concentrated mind mindful [of] Buddha,
[this] might not [have the] sincere mind.
他力偈
至心念佛，
必得感应。
他力加持，
得安乐定。
Verse On Other-Power
[With] sincere mind mindful [of] Buddha,
[this] definitely attains connection [for] response.
[With his] Other-power’s empowering,
attains [great] concentration [with] peace [and] bliss.
自力偈
定心念佛，
未得感应。
未生至心，
唯自力定。
Verse On Self-Power
[With] concentrated mind mindful [of] Buddha,
[this is] yet [to] attain connection [for] response.
Yet [to] give rise [to the] sincere mind,
[this is] only [with] Self-powered concentration.
