然欲后来有成就,须从现在立志行事起。
Thus, desiring [to] later have accomplishment, [there] must, from now [on, be establishing of] determination [or resolution for] handling matters [well].
必须要忠厚勤慎,谦恭和顺,心口如一,隐显不二,常怀惭愧,毋自矜骄。
[There] must be honesty, considerateness, diligence, cautiousness, politeness, modesty, harmoniousness [and] agreeability, [with the] mind [or thoughts and] mouth [or words] as one, [by saying what you think, honestly and straightforwardly, with what] hidden [and] obvious not [as] two, always keeping in mind repentance, [and] not boasting arrogantly.
朝暮至诚念佛,以期消除宿业,增长善根。
[From] dawn [to] dusk, [with] utmost sincerity, [be] mindful [of] Buddha[‘s name: Āmítuófó], in order to eradicate past [negative] karma, [and to] increase [and] grow good roots.
事事以诚为本,念念常省自心,则汝诸生之成就,均不可量。何以故,以有本故。
[When handling] everything, with sincerity as foundation [regarding them, and from] thought [to] thought, always reflecting [upon your] own minds, thus [will the] accomplishments of all [of] you students, all cannot [be] measured. How is [this] thus? [It] is with [the] foundation [of sincerity] thus.
