Gradually, as skin wrinkles and hair turns crane-white,
examine how our walking becomes weak and frail.
Even if with abundant gold and jade filling the hall,
it is difficult to avoid decline with aging and sickness.
No matter, even if you have a thousand kinds of happiness,
impermanence in the end still arrives.
Only left is the path for cultivating practice,
with only mindfulness of Amituofo [Amitabha Buddha].
