With One Line Of ‘Amituofo’

In my declining years, nearing seventy, I no longer compose poetry.
Reading sutras tolls my eyesight; creating blessings, I fear rushing about.
How do I console my innermost heart? With one line of ‘Amituofo’.
In the morning too ‘Amituofo’, in the evening too ‘Amituofo’.
Even when busy like an arrow, never ceasing reciting of ‘Amituofo’.

Bai Juyi (Tang Dynasty poet)

Please be mindful of your speech, Amituofo!
