Our [fundamental] teacher [Śākyamuni Buddha] originally opened immeasurable [Dharma] doors [to Buddhahood], precisely [in their] middle, [with] mindfulness [of Amitābha] Buddha [i.e. Āmítuófó] as [the] most honoured [one]. Merging all false [or stray] thoughts [to] return [to] true mindfulness, totally gathering all [six sense] roots into one root [of the mind]. Not using three [great] asaṃkhyeya kalpas [to] cultivate blessings [and] wisdom, only with [the] six words [of Námó Āmítuófó] transcending [the] universe. [The] Tathāgata’s golden mouth [is] without false speech,
[as] clearly proclaimed [and recorded] in writings [that] still completely exist.
