净土法门，别无奇特，
但要恳切至诚，无不蒙佛接引，带业往生。。。
念佛见佛，决定生西。。。
蒙阿弥陀佛接引，我要去了，
大家要念佛、要发愿、要生西方。

The Pure Land Dharma Door, is without [any] other unusual or special [requisite]; only needing earnestness with utmost sincerity [in mindfulness of Āmítuófo’s name], [with which there is] none not receiving the Buddha’s reception and guidance, to bring one’s [negative] karma [along] to be reborn [in his Pure Land]… With mindfulness of Buddha and seeing the Buddha, [one will] definitely be born in his West[ern Pure Land]… Receiving Āmítuófó’s reception and guidance, I am departing now. Everyone must be mindful of Buddha, must give rise to Aspiration, and must be born in his Western Pure Land.
[Note: The last line is also the Master’s declaration of seeing the Buddha arriving to receive and guide him. It is his confirmation of reaching Āmítuófó’s Pure Land.]

印光大师遗言
Great Master Yìnguāng’s Last Words
一九四○年十一月初三日，印光大师对真达老和尚及大众开示云：「净土法门，别无奇特。但要恳切至诚，无不蒙佛接引，带业往生。」
On the third day of the 11th lunar month of 1940, Great Master Yìnguāng (印光大师) to Elder Most Venerable Zhēndá (真达老和尚) and the great assembly said, ‘[The] Pure Dharma Door, [is] without [any] other unusual or special [requisite]. Only needing earnestness with utmost sincerity [in mindfulness of Āmítuófó’s name, with which there is] none not receiving [the] Buddha’s reception [and] guidance, [to] bring [one’s negative] karma [to be] reborn [in his Pure Land].’「净土法门，别无奇特。但要恳切至诚，无不蒙佛接引，带业往生。」
初四日早一时三十分，由床上起坐云：「念佛见佛，决定生西。」言讫，即大声念佛。
On the fourth day, at 1.30 am, from his bed rising and seated, he said, ‘[With] mindfulness [of] Buddha [and] seeing [the] Buddha, [one will] definitely [be] born in his West[ern Pure Land].’「念佛见佛，决定生西。」With these words completed, he immediately recited Āmítuófó name aloud.
二时二十五分，大师坐床边索水洗手毕，起立说：「蒙阿弥陀佛接引，我要去了，大家要念佛、要发愿、要生西方。」
At 2.25 am, Great Master, sitting by his bed, after asking for water and washing his hands, stood and said, ‘Receiving Āmítuófó’s reception [and] guidance, I am departing now. Everyone must [be] mindful [of] Buddha, must give rise [to sincere] Aspiration, [and] must [be] born [in his] Western [Pure Land].’「蒙阿弥陀佛接引，我要去了，大家要念佛、要发愿、要生西方。」
三时许，妙真和尚至，大师吩咐云：「你要维持道场，你要弘扬净土，不要学大派头。」
At 3 am or so, when Most Venerable Miàozhēn (妙真和尚) arrived, Great Master instructed, ‘You must maintain [this] place (i.e. Língyánshān Monastery: 灵岩山寺) [for practice of the] path. You must propagate [the] Pure Land [path. You] must not learn [to be like those] greatly [extravagant in] manner.’「你要维持道场，你要弘扬净土，不要学大派头。」
自后即不再言语，只唇动念佛而已。延至五时，如入禅定，笑容宛然，在大众念佛声中，安祥示寂。
Afterwards, not again speaking, only with lips moving with mindfulness of Buddha. Extending to 5 am, like entering meditative concentration, as if with a smile, within the great assembly’s voices with mindfulness of Buddha, he serenely manifested passing.
