本意偈
Verses On [The] Original Intention
地藏经本意，劝众皆念佛。
人天或鬼众，畜生与地狱。
[The] Earth Treasury Sūtra’s original intention, [is to] encourage all beings [to be] mindful [of the] Buddha, [be they] human [or] heavenly, perhaps [as] ghostly beings, animals, and [even] hell-beings.
念经等助行，念佛为正行。
至心多念佛，顺佛菩萨心。
[As] recitation [of] sūtras [and] others [are] Supportive Practices, [while] mindfulness [of] Buddha [is the] Main Practice, [with the] sincere mind [having] more mindfulness [of Āmítuó]fó [阿弥陀佛], accords [with the] Buddhas’ [and] Bodhisattvas’ minds.

南无大愿地藏王菩萨
