三期偈
Verses [On] Three Ages
[1] 正法时期中，更多自倾向，正师为正师，正法为正法。
[1] Within [the] Right Dharma Age, more [are] naturally inclined towards, right teachers as right teachers, [and the] Right Dharma as [the] Right Dharma.
[2] 像法时期中，更多自倾向，相似师为师，相似法为法。
[2] Within [the] Dharma-Semblance Age, more [are] naturally inclined towards, similar teachers as [right] teachers, [and] similar Dharma as [the Right] Dharma.
[3] 末法时期中，更多自倾向，邪师为正师，邪法为正法。
[3] Within [the] Dharma-Ending Age, more [are] naturally inclined towards, evil teachers as right teachers, [and] evil Dharma as [the] Right Dharma.
[4] 同时颠倒认，正师为邪师，正法为邪法，违背本师法。
[4] [At the] same time invertedly recognising, right teachers as evil teachers, [and the] Right Dharma as evil Dharma, contradicting [our] Fundamental Teacher [and his] Dharma.
《楞严经》云:「【末法时期】，此诸众生，去佛渐远。邪师说法，如恒河沙。」
[The] Śuraṅgama Sūtra says, ‘[In (the) Dharma-Ending Age], all these sentient beings, [will] leave [the] Buddha [to] gradually [become] distant. Evil teachers [who] speak [the false/evil] Dharma, [will be numerous] like the Ganges River’s sands.’

见佛偈
Verses [On] Seeing Buddha
佛入灭后，五百年间，正法时期，还多得道。
After [the] Buddha entered Parinirvāṇa, within five hundred years, [was the] Right Dharma Age, still [with] many attaining [the] path.
正法过后，一千年间，像法时期，更少得道。
After [the] Right Dharma Age, within one thousand years, [was the] Dharma-Semblance Age, [with] even less attaining [the] path.
像法过后，一万年间，末法时期，无人得道。
After [the] Dharma-Semblance Age, within ten thousand years, [is the] Dharma-Ending Age, without people attaining [the] path.
末法过后，五亿多年，无法时期，无得见佛。
After [the] Dharma-Ending Age, [for] more than five billion years [五亿七十六万岁/五十六亿七千万年], [is a] Dharma-less age, without attaining sight [of any] Buddha.
现已末法，何不求生，正法世界，见佛学佛？
[As] presently [is] already [the] Dharma-Ending [Age], why not seek birth, [in a] Land [with the] Right Dharma, [to see a] Buddha [and] learn [how to become a] Buddha?
行愿品说，极乐国中，亦可会见，本师后佛。
[The] Practices’ [And] Vows’ Chapter say, [that] within [the Pure] Land [Of] Ultimate Bliss, [there] can also [be] seeing [of Maitreya Bodhisattva (弥勒菩萨), the next] Buddha [in this world], after [our] Fundamental Teacher [Śākyamuni Buddha].
《行愿品》云:「得往生极乐世界。到已，即见阿弥陀佛、文殊师利菩萨、普贤菩萨、观自在菩萨、弥勒菩萨等。此诸菩萨，色相端严，功德具足，所共围绕。其人自见生莲华中，蒙佛授记。」
[The] Practices’ [And] Vows’ Chapter says, ‘Attaining rebirth [in the] Land [Of] Ultimate Bliss. Reaching already, immediately seeing Amitā[bha] Buddha, Mañjuśrī Bodhisattva, Universal Virtue Bodhisattva, Contemplating [With] Ease Bodhisattva, Maitreya Bodhisattva [and] others. These all Bodhisattvas, [with] physical forms upright, [and] meritorious virtues complete, [for] them together surround. These persons [will] personally see [themselves] born [from] lotus flowers within, [to] receive [the] Buddha’s predictions [for Buddhahood].’
