乙二、结劝
B2: Conclusive Exhortation
[经]: 佛说此经已，舍利弗，及诸比丘、一切世间天、人、阿修罗等，闻佛所说，欢喜信受，作礼而去。
[Sūtra]: [The] Buddha, [having] spoken this sūtra already, Śāriputra, and all [the] Bhikṣus, [with] all [the] world’s heavenly [beings], humans, asuras [and] others, [having] heard that [the] Buddha said, joyfully [and] faithfully accepted [it, as they] paid homage and departed.
[解]: 法门不可思议，难信难知，无一人能发问者。
[Explanation]: [This] Dharma Door [is] inconceivable, difficult [to] believe [and] difficult [to] know, without one person able [to] ask [about it].
佛智鉴机，知众生成佛缘熟，无问自说，令得四益，如时雨化，故「欢喜信受」也。
[The] Buddha [with his] wisdom inspecting [their fundamental] abilities, knowing sentient beings’ conditions [for] accomplishing Buddhahood [have] ripened, without [being] asked, personally spoke [of it, to] enable attainment [of the] Four Benefits [of the Four Siddhāntas], like [how] timely rain transforms, thus [did all] ‘joyfully [and] faithfully accepted [it]’.
[Note: Four Siddhāntas (四悉檀) which accord to the listener’s capacity: [1] Worldly Method (世界悉檀), [2] Individual Method (各各为人悉檀), [3] Curative Method (对治悉檀), and [4] Method Of The First Principle (第一义悉檀)]
身心怡悦名欢喜。
[With] body [and] mind joyous [is] named ‘rejoice’.
毫无疑惑名信。
Without the least doubt [or] confusion [is] named ‘faith[fully]’.
领纳不忘名受。
[Having] received [and] not forgetting [is] named ‘accepted’.
感大恩德，投身归命，名作礼。
[With] gratitude [for the Buddha’s] great kindness, throwing oneself [into] refuge [for] life, [is] named ‘paid homage’.
依教修持，一往不退，名而去。
Relying [upon this] teaching [to] cultivate upholding [of the name of Āmítuófó], once reborn [in his Pure Land and] not retrogressing, [is] named ‘departed’.
