Verse On Being Without Destruction

When the text is formed,
the wax stamp is damaged;
with mindfulness of Buddha accomplished,
the body is relinquished,
to attain a vajra body,
without again with a destructible body.

Note: When a hot wax stamp is used, the moment the text forms when being pressed down, it is the exact moment the stamp is destroyed, by transferring some of its wax, thereafter with the stamp warped.

Likewise, when mindfulness of Buddha’s name is accomplished completely with the Three Provisions of Faith, Aspiration and Practice, it is the exact moment the body is renounced, leaving it to shut down naturally.

Such ideal departing is without dying first. One will attain a vajra form in Pure Land instead, that is impervious to ageing, sickness and death, once and for all.
