杀生的供应为食肉的要求
凡杀生者，多为人食，
人若不食，亦无杀事，
是故食肉，与杀生同罪。

Supply By Killing For Demand Of Meat
[As] all those [who] kill lives, mostly [are] for people [to] eat [meat], if people [do] not eat [meat], likewise [will there be] without [the] matter [of] killing, therefore, eating meat, and killing lives [are] similar transgressions.

食肉难免杀业
净业正因，以「慈心不杀，修十善业」为第一。
食肉之人，虽不自杀，亦难免杀业。

Meat-Eaters’ Difficulty In Avoiding Killing’s Karma
Pure karma’s right causes, [are ‘with the] heart [of] loving-kindness not kill, cultivate [the] ten good karmas’ [i.e. ten wholesome deeds] as [the] first. Of people eating meat, although not personally killing, likewise [are] difficult [to] avoid killing’s [negative] karma. With not killing [being] without meat thus, with money hiring [i.e. paying] people on [their] behalf killing thus.

三净偈
佛说三净肉，不见闻疑杀。
方便托钵僧，非买卖肉者。
买卖不见闻，却疑为己杀。
少买少杀卖，无买无杀害。
Verses On Threefold Purity
[The] Buddha spoke [of] threefold pure meat, [from animals] not seen, heard [and] suspected [to be] killed [for oneself. This] skilful means [is for] alms-seeking monastics, not [for] those buying [and] selling meat.
Bought [and] sold meat, [though] without [killing] seen [and] heard, [there is] however suspecting [of animals, to be for] oneself killed, [as there is no supply from killing without one’s demand for meat. With] less buying [is there] less killing [and] selling, without buying [is there] no killing [and] harming.
