将尽偈
早知将尽，早备信愿，
早一心念，早安心生。
迟知将尽，迟备信愿，
迟一心念，迟安心生。
Verses On Almost Ending
Earlier knowing [that life is] almost ending,
[one can] earlier [be] prepared [with] Faith [and] Aspiration,
[to] earlier [be] wholeheartedly mindful [of] Buddha,
[and] earlier [be] peacefully born [in his Pure Land].
Later knowing [that life is] almost ending,
[one is then] later prepared [with] Faith [and] Aspiration,
[to] later [be] wholeheartedly mindful [of] Buddha,
[and] later [be] peacefully born [in his Pure Land].
