Since Guānshìyīn (Avalokiteśvara) Bodhisattva, of great compassion, and Wénshūshīlì (Mañjuśrī) Bodhisattva, of great wisdom, both aspire to be born in Āmítuófó’s (Amitābha Buddha) Pure Land Of Ultimate Bliss, we should also emulate their perfect vows and practices of compassion and wisdom. With our compassion and wisdom powering our Faith and Aspiration, may we also practise mindfulness of Āmítuófó, to be born in his Land Of Peace And Bliss together. Námó Āmítuófó
May I [Mañjuśrī Bodhisattva], when life [is] ending,
eradicate all obstacles,
[to] personally see Amitā[bha Buddha come to receive me],
[to be] reborn [in his Pure] Land [Of] Peace [And] Bliss.
Born [in] that Buddha Land already,
[with] full accomplishment [of] all great vows,
[may] Amitā Tathāgata,
appear before me, [to] confer prediction [of Buddhahood].
[May I] adorn purely [with] Samantabhadra’s practices,
fulfil Mañjuśrī’s vows,
[and] exhaust [the] limit [of] future kalpas,
[with] unsurpassed Bodhisattva practices.
Sūtra [On] Mañjuśrī’s Giving Rise [Of] Aspiration
