日落西山暮鼓催，
娑婆苦趣实堪悲；
世出世间思惟遍，
不念弥陀更念谁？
As the sun sets behind the western mountains
and the evening drum hastens,
this Sahā World’s realms of suffering
are truly with enduring of sorrow;
With the worldly and world-transcending
contemplated completely,
if not mindful of Āmítuófó,
who should we be mindful of more?
