[253] Principles [And] Practices Of ‘[With The] Mind Pure, Then [Is The] Land Pure’
[The] Pure Land, restricting [to] practices, then truly has [the] utmost extremely majestic of [its] realm’s appearances. Restricting [to] principles, [they are] then [within the] mind only, [with] those appearances. [It is] really because [with the Buddha’s] mind pure thus, [this] causes all these [in the] realm [to] all [be] pure.
Principles with practices [are] certainly not able [to be] split up. Only restricting [to the] meanings of that emphasised, divided [as] practices [and] divided [as] principles only.
[If] you only detailedly see [the] ‘Treatise [On The] Essential [And] Teachings [Being] Unsuitable [To Be] Indiscriminately Mixed’ within, [the] text [and] principles of ‘[the] ultimate [and] relative, [these] two truths’, and [the] meanings of ‘that restricted [to the] realm explained’, naturally can [you] understand clearly.
(Within [the] treatise, [the] text [and] principles of ‘[the] ultimate [and] relative, [these] two truths’, and [the] meanings of ‘that restricted [to the] realm explained’, [have] already [been] selected [to] enter this compilation’s ‘Discussion [On The] Essential [And] Teachings’, [this] one section, [with] reading [of] it then known. [By the] editor respectfully annotated)
Practices [and] principles, [these] two dharmas, [are] both not apart [from] each other.
Due [to] having [the] pure mind, then having [the] pure realm. If without [the] pure realm, how [is there] revealing [of the] pure mind?
‘[With the] mind pure, then [is the] Buddha land pure’, [this] is named [as that the] mind possesses. If [this is] not [that the] mind possesses, then [will the] cause not connect [to the] effect.
