[124] With Three Kinds [Of] Contemplations, Wash Away Sexual [Conduct’s] Mind

[(With) Sexual (Conduct’s) Mind Not Eliminated, (These) Dusts Cannot (Be) Exited]
[Of] sexual desire, [this] one matter, thus [is the] common sickness of people throughout the world. Not only [are] people [of] middle [and] low [roots], by sex those confused, even people of high roots, if not on guard [with] self-control, [with] strong vigilance in mind, then [are] also difficult [to] avoid not [being] by that confused.
Try looking at how many outstanding figures [from] ancient [times to] now since, [who have stepped] out [of proper] bounds, [who were still] resolute enough [to] be noble [ones and] be virtuous [ones. Those] only due [to] not [being able to] break [through] this barrier, instead becoming those most foolish [and] unworthy, also again [for] long falling [into] evil paths, surpass [those] difficult [to] completely count.
[The] Śūraṅgama Sūtra says, ‘If [the] six paths’ sentient beings [of] all worlds, [are with] their minds without sexual [conduct], then [will they] not follow it [with] births [and] deaths [in] continuous succession. You cultivate Samādhi, originally [to] exit dusts’ afflictions. [With] sexual [conduct’s] mind not eliminated, [these] dusts cannot [be] exited.’
Of people learning [the] path, [it is] originally for departure [from the cycle of] birth [and] death. If not painstakingly eliminating this sickness, then [is the cycle of] birth [and] death absolutely difficult [to be] departed [from].
Even though [the] Dharma Door [Of] Mindfulness [Of] Buddha, although [is with] bringing [of] karmas [to be] reborn [in Pure Land], however, if [by] lustful habits firmly fettered, then to the contrary, with [the] Buddha separated, [it is] difficult to [have] connection [and] response [for] mutual interaction.
Desiring [to] cut off this misfortune, nothing is better than, [when] seeing all women, [with] all do [1] close [ones]’ contemplation, [2] enemies’ contemplation [and] [3] impurity’s contemplation.

[1] [Close (Ones’) Contemplation]
[On] that [1] close [ones’] contemplation, [when] seeing aged ones, do mothers’ contemplation, older ones, do older sisters’ contemplation, younger ones, do younger sisters’ contemplation, [and] young ones, do daughters’ contemplation. [With] desires’ mind, even if vigorous, absolutely not daring to, [at] mothers, older sisters, younger sisters [and] daughters’ sides, give rise [to] thoughts [that are] not right. Seeing all women, always [with] them [as] my mothers, older sisters, younger sisters [and] daughters, then [with] rational regulating of desires, desires [will] be unable [to] arise.

[2] [Enemies’ Contemplation]
[On] that [2] enemies’ contemplation, [when] seeing all beautiful women, then given rise [to is] attachment’s mind. Due [to] this attachment’s mind, then falling [into] evil paths. [For] long kalpas receiving suffering, not able [to] depart. Such then, those so-called beautiful [and] charming, compared [with] bandits, tigers, wolves, venomous snakes, fierce scorpions, white arsenic [and] wine laced with poison, [they are] strong[er by a] hundred thousand times. Of these extremely great enemies, still longed for, [with] attachment thinking [of them], how [are those] not people within twice [the] confusion?

[3] [Impurity’s Contemplation]
[On] that [3] impurity’s [contemplation], beautiful appearances attractive [to] people, [are] only [so on the] exterior one layer [of] thin skin only. If taking off this skin, then [are they] unbearable [when] seen. [With] bones, flesh, pus, blood, excrement, urine [and] hair, dripping wet [and] strewn about, completely without one object [that] causes people [to be] attached. Only with [this] thin skin that covers, then deludedly giving rise [to] deep attachment. [If] flower vases [are] filled [with] excrement, people [will] not fiddle with [them]. Now, these thin skins of beautiful people, [are] not different [from these] flower vases. [The] skin within, those contained, compared [with] excrement, [are] even [more] defiled. How can [there be] attachment [to] their outer skins, yet forgetting their skins’ inside, those all kinds [of] defiled objects, [to] overflow [with the] arising [of] deluded thoughts?

[Earnestly Wash Away Evil Karmas’ Habitual Tendencies]
If not on guard [with] strong vigilance, painstakingly eliminating this habit, then only seeing those [with their] bearing [and] bodies beautiful, leading to attachment’s arrow entering [the] bones, not [being] able [to] personally remove [it]. Usually like this, [if] desiring [to] finally not enter [a] woman’s womb, [this] cannot [be] attained. [If] entering [a] human woman’s womb, [this is] still ‘good’. [If] entering [a] female animal’s womb, [when] about to [do so], what can be done?
Trying [to have this] one thought understood, [the] state [of] mind [will be] alarmed. However, desiring to, [when] seeing [the] situations, not giving rise [to the] defiled mind, [there] must [be], when yet [to] see [the] situations, often doing [of the] above [1] [2] [3] three kinds [of] contemplations, then [when] seeing [the] situations, naturally can [there be] not following [of the] situations [to be] transformed.
Otherwise, even if not seeing [the] situations, [on the] mind ground still repeatedly lingering, [in the] end by lustful desires’ habitual tendency that bound. Certainly, [there] should [be] earnest washing away [of] evil karmas’ habitual tendencies. Then can [there] be freedom’s part.
