Nāgārjuna Mahāsattva’s Encouragement [To Be] Mindful [Of] Buddha

[The] Treatise [On] Perfection [Of] Great Wisdom says, ‘[The] Buddha is [the] unsurpassable Dharma King, [and] all Great Bodhisattvas are [his] Dharma Ministers. [As] that [whom] all [the] Ministers revere, [is] only [the] Buddha, [the] Dharma King, therefore Bodhisattvas should [be] mindful [of the] Buddha.’

Also saying, ‘[There] are many Bodhisattvas, [who are] personally mindful [of their] past slander [of] Prajñā [i.e. the Buddhas’ supreme teaching], [who] fell [into] evil paths passing immeasurable kalpas, although cultivating other practices, yet [to be] able [to] attain exit [from them. They] later encountered good-knowing friends, [who] taught [them to] practise [the] Samādhi [From] Mindfulness [Of] Buddha. Immediately attaining [it], also dispelling transgressive obstacles, [they] then attained liberation.’

Also, [a] verse says, ‘If people aspire [to] become Buddhas, [with their] minds mindful [of] Āmítuó[fó, he will] immediately for [them] manifest [his] body, thus [do] I take refuge [for] life [in him and] prostrate [to him].’
