净土法门即万不漏一之特别法门
[3] [The] Pure Land Dharma Door Is [The] Special Dharma Door, [With] Ten Thousand [Practitioners], Not Missing One

众生一念心性,与佛无二。虽在迷不觉,起惑造业,备作众罪,其本具佛性,原无损失。

Sentient beings’ one thought’s mind-nature, with [the] Buddhas’, [are] not two. Although in confusion not awakened, giving rise [to] confusions [and] creating [of evil] karma, prepared to do all transgressions, they fundamentally possess Buddha-nature, originally without [it] lost.

譬如摩尼宝珠,堕于圊厕,直与粪秽,了无有异。愚人不知是宝,便与粪秽一目视之。

For example, like [a] mani treasure gem, [having] fallen into [a] toilet, directly [coated] with excrement [and] filth, completely without having differences [from them]. Foolish persons [do] not know [it] is [a] treasure, then with excrement [and] filth, [with the] one [same] look, see it.

智者知是无价妙宝,不以污秽为嫌,必于厕中取出,用种种法,洗涤令洁。

Those wise know [it] is [a] priceless wonderful treasure, not with [the] filth, because of [that] detesting [it. They] will from [the] toilet within, take it out, [and] use all kinds [of] methods, washing [to] cause [it to be] clean.

然后悬之高幢,即得放大光明,随人所求,普雨众宝。愚人由是,始知宝贵。

Thereafter hanging it [on a] high pillar, then attaining [its] emitting [of] great bright light, according [to the] person, [with] that sought, universally raining all treasures. Foolish persons, because of this, then know [the] treasure [to be] precious.

大觉世尊,视诸众生,亦复如是。纵昏迷倒惑,备作五逆十恶,永堕三途恶道之人,佛无一念弃舍之心。

[The] Great Awakened World-Honoured [Ones], see all sentient beings, [to be] likewise thus. Even if ignorant [with] inverted confusions, of people prepared [to] do [the] Five Heinous [Transgressions and] Ten Evil [Karmas, for a] long [time] falling [into the] three [lower] realms’ evil paths, [the] Buddhas [are] without one thought of abandoning [them].

必伺其机缘,冥显加被,与之说法。俾了幻妄之惑业,悟真常之佛性,以至于圆证无上菩提而后已。

[They] will examine their capacities [and] conditions, [for those] hidden [and] obvious adding blessings, for them speaking [the] Dharma. So that [there can be] understanding [of the] illusoriness [and] falseness of confusions [and] karma, [and] awakening [to that] true [and] constant of Buddha-nature, up to complete realisation [of] unsurpassable Bodhi, then after ending.

于罪大恶极之人尚如是,其罪业小者,其戒善具修,禅定力深者,亦无一不如是也。

Of people with transgressions [of] great evil extreme still thus, [of] those [with] their transgressive karma little, [with] their precepts [and] good completely cultivated, [and of] those [with] meditative concentration’s power deep, likewise without one not thus.

以凡在三界之中,虽有执身摄心,伏诸烦惑之人,而情种尚在,福报一尽,降生下界。

With all within [the] three realms, although having attachment [to their] bodies [with] gathering [of their] minds, of people [who have] subdued all afflictions [and] confusions, yet [with] passions’ seeds still there, [when their] blessed rewards once exhaust, [they will] fall [to be] born [in the] lower realms.

遇境逢缘,犹复起惑造业,由业感苦,轮回六道,了无已时。

Meeting situations [and] encountering conditions, again still [giving] rise [to] confusions [and] creating [of evil] karma, due [to evil] karma, confusions [and] suffering, [they] are reborn [in the] six paths, completely without [an] ending time.

故《法华经》云:「三界无安,犹如火宅。众苦充满,甚可怖畏。」

Thus, [the ‘Wonderful] Dharma [Lotus] Flower Sūtra’ says, ‘[The] three realms [are] without peace, similar to [a] burning house. [With] all [kinds of] suffering filled fully, [that are] extremely terrifying.’

若非业尽情空,断惑证真,则无出此三界之望。

If not [with evil] karma exhausted [and] passions emptied, severing confusions [and] realising [the] true, [it is] then without hope of exiting these three realms.

此则唯有净土法门,但具真信切愿,持佛名号,即可仗佛慈力,往生西方。

[With] this, then only having [the] Pure Land Dharma Door, [that] only [needs one to be] complete [with] true Faith [and] sincere Aspiration, [to] uphold [the] Buddha’s name, then can [there be immediate] relying [on the] Buddha’s loving-kindness’ power, [to be] reborn [in his] Western [Pure Land].

既得往生,则入佛境界,同佛受用。凡情圣见,二皆不生。

Since attaining rebirth, then entering [the] Buddha’s realm, [with the] same [as that the] Buddha benefits [from. Of attachments to] ordinary passions [and] noble views, both [will] all not arise.

乃千稳万当,万不漏一之特别法门也。时当末法,舍此无术矣。

Thus, [for a] thousand secure [and] ten thousand reliable, [it is] the Special Dharma Door, [with] ten thousand [practitioners], not missing one [i.e. absolutely safe]. [In the] present, when [it is the] Dharma-Ending [Age, if] abandoning this, [there is] no [other] method [for liberation].
