【解】： 复次，二「有」，「现在」，劝信序也；
[Explanation]: Furthermore, [the] two ‘is’ [and] ‘now’, [is the] Preface [for] urging Faith.
「世界名」「极乐」，劝愿序也；
‘World named’ [as] ‘Ultimate Bliss’, [is the] Preface [for] urging Aspiration.
「佛号阿弥陀」，劝持名妙行序也。
‘Buddha named Āmítuó[fó’, is the] Preface [for] urging [the] wonderful Practice [of] upholding [his name].
复次，「阿弥」，序佛；
Furthermore, ‘Āmí[tuófó’, is the] Preface’s Buddha.
「说法」，序法；
‘Speaking [the] Dharma’, [is the] Preface’s Dharma.
「现在」海会，序僧。
‘Now at’ [the] ocean[-wide] assembly, [is the] Preface’s Saṃgha.
佛法僧同一实相，序体；
[The] Buddha, Dharma [and] Saṃgha [with the] same one True Form, [is the] Preface’s essence.
从此起信愿行，序宗；
From this giving rise [to] Faith, Aspiration [and] Practice, [is the] Preface’s objective.
信愿行成，必得往生见佛闻法，序用；
[With] Faith, Aspiration [and] Practice accomplished, definitely attaining rebirth [to] see [the] Buddha, [and] hear [the] Dharma, [is the] Preface’s function.
唯一佛界为所缘境，不杂余事，序教相也。
Only [with that] one Buddha’s realm as that conditioned sphere, not mixed [with] other matters, [is the] Preface’s teachings’ forms.
言略意周矣！
[Although] said briefly, [this is with] meaning [that is] thorough!
初序分竟。
[The] first Preface Section [is now] complete.
