‘Amita[bha] Tathagata [Amituofo] on the causal ground [as Dharmakara Bodhisattva], gave rise to forty-eight vows, with every vow for delivering sentient beings [from suffering to liberation]. Within them it is [stated that if those] “mindful of my name, are not born in my [Pure] Land, [I] vow not to accomplish Buddhahood.” Now, [since his practice on] the causal ground is complete, with the fruit [of Buddhahood] ripened, thus, when “I now am mindful of the Buddha[‘s name with deep Faith and sincere Aspiration], I will definitely attain rebirth [there]”.’
